Shooting in Sunsari leaves one critically injured

SUNSARI: A shooting incident occurred on Monday evening in ward no. 2 of Dewangunj Rural Municipality, Sunsari district, leaving one person seriously injured.

The injured has been identified as 21-year-old Shiva Kumar Mehta, a resident of Dewangunj-7. He is currently in critical condition and undergoing treatment at Nobel Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar.

According to police, Mehta was riding on the back of a motorcycle driven by Pintu Mehta when he was shot by Kameshwar Yadav of Dewangunj-7.

The motive behind the shooting remains unknown. Police have launched a manhunt for Yadav, who fled the scene after the incident.
