Devotees offer Rs 1.3 million at Pathibhara last month

TAPLEJUNG: The devotees offered Rs 1.3 million plus in cash at Pathibhara Mandir in the month of Falgun, the Pathibhara Area Development Committee stated.

The Committee made public the details of offerings as per its pledge to do so on the final day of every Nepali month.
The Committee shared that more than 7,400 devotees visited the temple in the past one month against the number of 17,912 devotees of the same month of the last year.

Committee’s Executive Director Prajin Hangbang said that the recent protests taken place over the issue of cable car construction led to reduction in the number of visitors.

Pathibhara Mandir, one of the major religious and touristic sites in the Koshi Provinces, attracts a large number of devotees and visitors during Chaite Dashain, Ram Nawami, Bada Dashain, Tihar and other major festivals.

Around 300,000 domestic and international devotees and visitors make their trips to Pathibhara Mandir every year.
