Nepal to face Rajasthan in opening match of India tour



KATHMANDU: The Nepali women’s national cricket team has reached India to play a series of six friendly matches against three Indian state teams. In their opening match today, Nepal will take on Rajasthan.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has sent the team under the captaincy of Indu Barma. During the tour, Nepal will play two matches each against Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal. The series, which begins today, will run until November 19.

According to the schedule, Nepal will face Rajasthan today and again on November 17, play against Bengal on November 15 and 19, and take on Uttarakhand on November 14 and 18.

The squad includes captain Indu Barma, Kabita Kunwar, Sana Praveen, Rubina Chhetri, Alisa Yadav, Ishwari Bista, Roma Thapa, Ashmita Karmacharya, Sabnam Rai, Bindu Rawal, Puja Mahato, Laxmi Saud, Manisha Upadhyay, Simana KC, and Mamata Chaudhary.

The tour aims to provide the Nepali side with crucial match experience and international exposure ahead of upcoming regional and ICC competitions.
