Youth arrested with over two quintals of marijuana in Aurahi, Siraha



SIRAHA: Police have arrested a youth with more than two quintals of illegal marijuana in Malah Tole, Aurahi Rural Municipality-5 of Siraha.

According to Birendra Kumar Paswan, Information Officer at the District Police Office, the arrested individual has been identified as 23-year-old Ram Udgar Malah. He was apprehended on Friday night following a special tip-off.

Malah was caught with a motorcycle bearing the registration number Pra 2-01-003 Pa 2154. During the arrest, police discovered 212 kilograms and 925 grams of marijuana stored in seven large bags.

The seizure was made by a joint team from the District Police Office Siraha and the Police Post Aurahi, acting on a confidential tip. Upon the arrival of police, several other individuals fled the scene in a vehicle.

Authorities have launched a manhunt for the absconding suspects, and further investigation into the case is ongoing.
