NEPSE ends the year with 8.62-point decline



KATHMANDU: On the final trading day of the year, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 8.62 points, or 0.32%, closing at 2,662.08. This decline follows a 5.57-point loss in the previous session.

The index opened at 2,673.01, peaked at 2,676.70, and dipped to a low of 2,657.32 during the session.

Total market turnover reached Rs. 6.28 billion, with 13.18 million shares traded across 322 listed companies through 54,361 transactions.

CEDB Hydropower Development Company (CHDC) led the trading volume with Rs. 45.32 crore in turnover, closing at Rs. 2,557 per share.

Among the top gainers were 12% Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (GWFD83) and Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited (NMIC).
