Lost 303 rifles recovered in Damak



DAMAK: A cache of 303 rifles has been recovered near the eastern gate of Dhaneshwor Temple in Damak Municipality-5, Jhapa distrct.

The firearms were found abandoned, prompting a police response early this morning. A team led by Police Inspector Nabin Rai reached the scene after locals reported the discovery to the Area Police Office in Damak.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, the recovered weapons have been confirmed as the 303 rifles with magazines that were looted during the Gen-Z protest on September 9, 2025.

The rifles have since been secured at the Area Police Office, Damak, following the completion of necessary legal procedures.
