KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has assured that the current ruling coalition will remain intact until the 2084 elections, stating that the CPN-UML is not involved in any efforts to form an alternative government.
Addressing the annual review meeting of the Land Problem Resolution Commission in Kathmandu on Tuesday, PM Oli said there are no disputes between the major coalition partners, UML and Nepali Congress, and only the prime minister will change in the coming months without affecting the coalition.
He added that after the 2084 elections, either the UML or Congress would form the government, and if neither secures a majority, both parties would join hands again.
Rejecting any political maneuvering, Oli stressed that the UML’s focus is on the country’s development, accusing some of spreading unnecessary talks about changing the government.
He instructed the commission to ensure land ownership certificates for all landless citizens, calling it an opportunity to make history. He also directed that all incomplete district-level commissions be finalized within two weeks.
