Former Election Commissioner Ila Sharma passes away



KATHMANDU: Former Election Commissioner and journalist Ila Sharma has passed away following a heart attack.

According to former journalist Amrita Lamsal, Sharma died this evening at Norvic Hospital. Her funeral is scheduled for tomorrow.

Sharma had a long career with The Rising Nepal and was known for her contributions to journalism and public service. She is survived by two daughters.
