Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari inspects Parliament building damaged during Gen-Z protests



KATHMANDU: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari visited the Parliament building premises in New Baneshwor on Thursday afternoon to assess the damage caused during the Gen-Z protest on September 9, when the federal parliament building was vandalized and set on fire.

During the inspection, she was accompanied by Speaker of the dissolved House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chair Narayan Dahal.

Earlier, Bhandari had also inspected Singha Durbar, which was set ablaze during the same protest. Following the attack on her residence in Bhangal, she is currently staying at her daughter’s home in Baluwatar.
