Rishi Dhamala becomes patron of newly formed Janadesh Party



KATHMANDU: A new political party named Janadesh Party Nepal has been formed under the leadership of advocate Raman Kumar Karn, who also serves as the secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association. The party has a 75-member central committee.

Journalist Rishi Dhamala has been announced as the party’s patron, while Karn will lead as the chairperson. Bikash Thakur, who left the Nepali Congress after the Gen-Z movement, has also joined the party.

Dhamala’s wife, Eliza Gautam, holds an executive position within the party. She was previously associated with the Rastriya Unmukti Party led by Resham Chaudhary but left after internal disputes.

The Janadesh Party Nepal is currently in the process of being registered with the Election Commission.
