President Paudel hospitalized after sudden health complications

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel was admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj on Saturday after he complained of a sudden headache and vomiting during a meeting with representatives of the Gen-Z movement at Sheetal Niwas.

According to the President’s Press Coordinator Khila Karki, the President will now resume talks with the Gen-Z representatives on Monday, after being advised rest by doctors.

Earlier on Saturday, some Gen-Z demonstrators had gathered outside the President’s Office expressing dissatisfaction over the meeting plan.

Just a day before falling ill, President Paudel had held discussions with the Prime Minister and leaders of major political parties, urging them to prepare for the upcoming elections scheduled for March 5.
