TULSIPUR: The High Court Tulsipur, which had halted regular operations after its premises were set ablaze during the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9, will resume case registration and hearings from Sunday.
According to court registrar Yam Prasad Baskota, the court will begin registering and hearing cases related to writs, injunctions, and petitions under Section 157 of the Civil Procedure Code, 2017, and Section 73 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 2017. Until now, the court had been limited to registering habeas corpus petitions only.
Registrar Baskota said a separate notice will be issued later to inform the public about the resumption of ongoing cases and the registration of new appeals to ensure regular judicial services.
The court’s operations had been disrupted since the Gen-Z movement, which caused extensive fire damage to the court building and halted regular judicial proceedings.
