Three escapees from Nakkhu prison arrested in Dhading



DHADING: Security forces have arrested three inmates who escaped from Nakkhu Prison during the recent Gen-Z protests.

The Nepal Army confirmed the arrest of 48-year-old Lal Bahadur Nepali from Surkhet, 41-year-old Amar Bahadur Damai, and 24-year-old Anas Rai from Simara, Bara. They were detained in Galchhi’s Baireni area on Thursday.

Colonel Ashim Shrestha of Bhairabnath Battalion in Gajuri said the trio was captured while attempting to flee in hiding.

All three had been serving sentences on rape charges and have been handed over to police custody.
