National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly of the Federal Parliament is meeting today at 12:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

The session will include a discussion on a proposal of urgent public importance regarding “additional special arrangements to ensure the safety, quality of life, and dignity of senior citizens,” according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The proposal was registered by MPs Sumitra BC, Urmila Aryal, Kamala Panta, and others.

Also on the agenda, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka is expected to present a proposal to consider the Water Resources Bill, 2081, which has been forwarded from the House of Representatives.

Similarly, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is slated to present a proposal to consider the Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081, also received from the House of Representatives.
