Man murders wife in Jhapa, arrested after fleeing



JHAPA: A man has been arrested for murdering his wife in Kankai Municipality-2, Sukeda, Jhapa.

According to the District Police Office, 35-year-old Kabiraj Hemran killed his 34-year-old wife, Pooja Hemran, by attacking her with a khukuri late Sunday night.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka informed that Kabiraj had fled the scene after the incident but was later arrested from the Surunga area.

Police are investigating the case further.
