KATHMANDU: The Government of Nepal and representatives of the Gen-Z movement on Wednesday signed an agreement aimed at resolving the issues raised during the recent youth-led protests. The signing ceremony was held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, where several injured protesters were also present.

During the event, representatives from both sides agreed on commitments to address the concerns raised during the movement, ensure medical support for the injured, and clarify future coordination mechanisms.

The injured participants expressed a positive response, saying they were encouraged by the government’s readiness to listen and move forward on their demands.

The government has pledged necessary support for the treatment, relief, and rehabilitation of those injured during the protests. Preparations are underway to form a joint committee to oversee the implementation of the agreement.
