UML calls parliamentary party meeting of dissolved House to discuss political situation

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has called a parliamentary party meeting of members of the dissolved House of Representatives to discuss the recent political complexities and unusual circumstances in the country.

According to Mahesh Bartaula , Chief Whip of the UML parliamentary group in the dissolved House, the meeting will be held on November 18 at 1:00 PM at the party’s central office in Chyasal.

Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli is expected to provide special guidance during the meeting. Bartaula  stated that the chairman will give directives to garner support from other parties for UML’s push to restore the dissolved parliament.

The UML has already decided to strongly demand the reinstatement of parliament, citing that the upcoming elections scheduled for February 5, 2026, cannot be held as planned.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress has also launched a signature campaign in favor of parliament restoration starting Sunday.
