Woman killed after being hit by truck in Tanahun



TANAHUN: A 37-year-old woman died after being hit by a mini-truck on the Prithvi Highway in Shuklagandaki Municipality-5, Tanahun, last evening.

According to the District Police Office, Tanahun, the victim has been identified as Devi Tiwari Poudel, a resident of the same locality. The truck (registration number Ga 1 Ka 1845) was heading from Dulegonda toward Khairenitar when it struck her as she was crossing the road at Belchautara.

Poudel, who sustained serious injuries, was taken to the GP Koirala National Respiratory Treatment Center in Jharauta for treatment, where she died during medical care, police said.
