Former PM Khanal’s wife in critical condition after house set on fire



KATHMANDU: Rabilaxmi Chitrakar, wife of former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit at Kirtipur Burn Hospital.

She was severely injured after a mob set fire to the family’s residence in Dallu during the ongoing Gen-Z protest unrest. Chitrakar was trapped inside and later rescued in critical condition.

Hospital Director Dr. Kiran Nakarmi confirmed she remains in serious condition under intensive care.
