Nepal Army intervenes as prisoners attempt mass escape from Dillibazar Jail



KATHMANDU: Following the release of Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane from Nakhu Prison, several prisoners across the country attempted to escape, prompting intervention by the Nepal Army.

In the latest incident, hundreds of inmates at Dillibazar Prison in Kathmandu tried to flee, leading the Army to deploy forces and secure the prison premises.

The military has cordoned off both the prison and surrounding streets, successfully preventing escaping inmates and restoring control over the facility.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to prevent further incidents.
