NEPSE to remain closed

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has announced that trading will remain suspended on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

In a public notice issued on Wednesday, NEPSE said the market closure is in accordance with Rule 21 of the Securities Listing and Trading Regulations due to extraordinary circumstances.

The regulations allow the stock market to temporarily suspend operations if there is a natural disaster, national crisis, or other uncontrollable situation.

NEPSE further stated that, if conditions normalize, trading is expected to resume on Sunday.
