Nepal Police denies rumors of 32 bodies found inside Parliament

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has refuted widespread social media claims that 32 bodies were discovered inside the Parliament building, calling the reports false and misleading.

In a statement issued via Facebook on Wednesday morning, police clarified that violent images circulating online were taken from unrelated incidents abroad and were being misused to spread panic.

The false claim, shared under the headline “32 Missing Found Dead Inside Parliament,” has been widely circulated on social platforms in recent days.

Police urged the public not to create or share such misinformation, warning that it only fuels fear and worsens the tense situation.

“In this difficult circumstance, we appeal to all not to generate or spread misleading and negative news that incites further unrest,” the statement read.
