Prachanda urges timely completion of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium



CHITWAN: Former Prime Minister and Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has urged the construction company to ensure the timely completion of the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium, which is currently under construction in Bharatpur.

Inspecting the project site today, Prachanda stressed the importance of meeting the deadline, expressing confidence that the stadium will contribute to producing skilled cricket players.

During the visit, Bharatpur Metropolitan City Mayor Renu Dahal and Engineer Santosh Acharya briefed him on the project’s progress, stating that about 30 percent of the physical work has been completed so far.

The stadium, located in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15, is being built in collaboration with the federal and provincial governments. The project is targeted for completion by Poush 22, 2083 BS, with an estimated cost of Rs 785.91 million.
