Gold price drops slightly, silver gains



KATHMANDU: The price of gold fell by Rs 200 per tola today, reaching Rs 199,200, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers.

Last Friday, gold had risen by Rs 1,000 per tola to Rs 199,400 — the highest price recorded so far. Earlier last week, the price had reached Rs 198,500 on Tuesday before dipping by Rs 100 to Rs 198,400 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs 5 today, reaching Rs 2,330 per tola, the Federation said.
