One dead in tractor accident in Bajura

BAJURA: A tractor accident in Chhededah Rural Municipality-5, Bajura, has claimed the life of a driver while leaving his young son injured.

The incident occurred last night when a tractor (Bhe 2 Ta 1588) traveling from Dogadi towards Budhiganga Municipality in Chiralna, Khaptad lost control and veered off the downhill road.

According to the District Police Office, Bajura, the accident resulted in the death of 32-year-old Padam Rawat, a resident of Kholalawada, Budhiganga Municipality-4. Rawat, who was driving the tractor, died on the spot after being crushed under the tractor trolley.

His 12-year-old son, Shamsher Rawat, who was riding on the tractor at the time, sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a local health post. Two other individuals who were on the tractor at the time of the accident escaped unhurt, police said.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the tractor lost control while descending the hilly road, leading to the tragic accident. Authorities are looking into the exact cause of the incident.
