Sensitive matters cannot be disclosed: Home Minister Aryal

“What Home Ministry is doing on some issues cannot be revealed"

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has defended his ‘quiet approach’ to governance, saying that some sensitive issues handled by the ministry cannot be publicly disclosed.

Speaking amid criticism over his work, he emphasized that he is focused on fulfilling his responsibilities sincerely rather than seeking publicity.

“The Home Ministry is sensitive in every way. On some issues, we cannot even disclose what has been done,” said Home Minister Aryal through social media. “Since it is not a propaganda-oriented ministry, we have no option but to work quietly and continue with a sincere heart.”

He also reaffirmed his commitment to leave the government after fulfilling its responsibility of guiding the country toward a solution through elections.

“At the end of its term, we will thank the people for their patience,” he said. “We will fulfill this government’s responsibility to lead the country toward a solution through elections, following the path of good governance step by step.”

The upcoming election for members of the House of Representatives is scheduled for March 5, 2026.
