GORKHA: Seventeen people, including the driver, were injured when a microbus met with an accident at Ghumtimod in Siranchowk Rural Municipality-4, Chorkate, Gorkha.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police and District Police Office Information Officer Rajkumar Shrestha, the microbus (Ba 4 Kha 6043) was traveling from Bhachchek to Abu Khaireni when it lost control and struck a roadside wall.
Among the injured, eight-year-old Swarinla Chaudhary, 43-year-old Laxmi Chaudhary, and 36-year-old Pavitra Mahato sustained serious injuries. Police said a rescue team was immediately dispatched to the site, and all the injured were taken to Province Hospital Gorkha for treatment.
Most of the passengers were residents of Khairahani Municipality in Chitwan. Police confirmed that 19 people were on board the vehicle at the time of the crash.
