NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for Sunday. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 141.56 and the selling rate at Rs 142.16.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 163.61 and the selling rate at Rs 164.30, while one British pound sterling is being bought at Rs 185.66 and sold at Rs 186.44. Similarly, the Swiss franc is valued at Rs 175.65 for buying and Rs 176.40 for selling.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates of other major currencies are as follows: the Australian dollar at Rs 91.74 and Rs 92.13, the Canadian dollar at Rs 100.30 and Rs 100.73, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 108.67 and Rs 109.14, respectively.

For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are being bought at Rs 9.25 and sold at Rs 9.29, while one Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 19.88 for buying and Rs 19.96 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 37.74 and Rs 37.90, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 38.84 and Rs 39.00.

According to the bank, one Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.38 for buying, while one UAE dirham is set at Rs 38.54 and Rs 38.70 for buying and selling, respectively. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 33.90 and Rs 34.04, while 100 South Korean won are priced at Rs 9.70 and Rs 9.74. The Swedish krona is being traded at Rs 14.80 and Rs 14.86, and the Danish krone at Rs 21.91 and Rs 22.01.

The central bank has also set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.20 and the selling rate at Rs 18.28. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 461.23 for buying and Rs 463.18 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar is traded at Rs 375.49 and Rs 377.08. The Omani rial stands at Rs 367.67 for buying and Rs 369.23 for selling. Likewise, the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that the exchange rates may be revised as necessary, and that commercial banks may quote slightly different rates. The latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
