Protesters target Police Headquarters as demonstrations continue

KATHMANDU: Gunfire erupted near the Nepal Police Headquarters in Naxal as protesters involved in the Gen-Z movement attempted to attack the building.

Despite Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s resignation, demonstrations have continued unabated across the country.

Protesters have reportedly set fire to and vandalized the offices of all three branches of the state: the executive, judiciary, and legislature.

Leaders from civil society and independent youth organizations have appealed to the demonstrators to exercise restraint and avoid further destruction. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as tensions remain high.
