Gen-Z Protest: Minister for Water Supply Yadav resigns

KATHMANDU: Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav has resigned from his position, announcing his decision via social media on Tuesday.

In his statement, Yadav said he stepped down in solidarity with the ongoing Gen-Z movement and in protest against the government’s violent crackdown on demonstrators.

“I cannot remain in government while innocent youth are being silenced through force,” he wrote, expressing deep concern over the state’s response to peaceful protests.

Yadav becomes the latest in a series of ministers and lawmakers to resign amid growing political pressure and public outrage over the government’s handling of the protests.
