KATHMANDU: The monsoon’s low-pressure trough is currently positioned slightly north of its usual location in the east and near the Terai region in the west of Nepal.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the country will experience generally cloudy weather this afternoon. Moderate rainfall is expected in some hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, with a few scattered showers in other regions.
There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
Tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country. Moderate rain is likely in some hilly and Terai areas of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with isolated showers in other regions.
Heavy rainfall may occur in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, as well as in one or two places in Madhesh province.
