House of Representatives meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives is taking place today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

During today’s meeting, Kiran Kumar Sah, Chairperson of the Women and Social Affairs Committee, is scheduled to present the committee’s annual report for the fiscal year 2080/2081.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Nabal Kishor Sah Sudi, will table a proposal seeking permission to introduce the Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2082. He will also formally present the bill during the meeting.

In addition, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari, is scheduled to present a proposal for a clause-wise discussion on the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Land, 2082.

Amendments submitted to the bill will be put forward for a decision, and Minister Adhikari is also expected to propose the bill’s passage in today’s session.

Furthermore, Speaker Devraj Ghimire is expected to present a proposal for consideration of the amendments made by the National Assembly to the Constitutional Council (Works, Duties, Powers and Procedures) First Amendment Bill for a decision.
