Tanahun District Office sets daily quota of 40 passports

TANAHUN: The District Administration Office, Tanahun has set a daily quota of 40 passports starting Friday. Currently, the office is operating with only one functional workstation provided by the Department of Passports.

As a result, the office has decided to open an online quota of 40 passport applications every Friday from 10:30 a.m. for the upcoming week.

According to Administrative Officer Bikas Shrestha, all equipment related to the electronic passport service at the office was destroyed during acts of vandalism and arson that occurred amid the Gen-Z movement on September 9.

He said that with just one operating station and a large number of service seekers, the office has been compelled to set a quota for the entry, verification, and distribution of electronic passports.

The office has also urged the public not to rely on unauthorized individuals for passport-related services and to remain cautious against fraudulent activities.
