FNCCI hosting ‘National Economic Debate’ today



KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is hosting the National Economic Debate in the federal capital today (Saturday).

According to FNCCI sources, Prime Minister Sushila Karki will attend the event along with Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal, Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Kulman Ghising, Home Affairs Minister Om Prakash Aryal, and Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister Anil Kumar Sinha.

The program will also be attended by the Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, secretaries of various ministries, foreign ambassadors, development partners, mission chiefs, and representatives of private sector organizations, among others.

The umbrella body of the private sector said the debate aims to develop a shared understanding of Nepal’s current economic situation in the aftermath of the Gen Z Uprising and to chart out a collective roadmap for future economic direction.

It may be noted that the FNCCI had organized the first edition of the National Economic Debate in 2080 BS.
