PM instructs envoys to inform foreign countries about Nepal’s recent changes

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed all Nepali ambassadors and mission chiefs abroad to brief their respective countries on the political changes in Nepal following the Gen-Z movement.

During a virtual meeting with ambassadors and mission heads on Wednesday, the Prime Minister instructed them to inform relevant countries and stakeholders about Nepal’s recent developments, according to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lok Bahadur Kshetri.

She also asked them to coordinate with foreign governments and organizations to seek support as the election date has been set, and to promote sectors such as tourism, which were affected by the Gen-Z movement, now returning to normal.

Additionally, the Prime Minister urged the missions to effectively serve Nepalis abroad and to publicize the reconstruction fund established for rebuilding structures damaged during the movement.
