Gen-Z protesters attack PM Oli’s residence in Damak

JHAPA: Members of the Gen-Z movement reportedly attacked the residence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Damak on Monday, amid ongoing protests across Jhapa.

Police had established tight security around the Prime Minister’s home in Ward No. 9 of Damak Municipality. According to UML Jhapa District Chair Prem Giri, the attack caused minimal damage due to heightened security. “They attempted to breach, but no significant harm occurred. Security measures are currently reinforced in Damak,” Giri said.

Apart from the Prime Minister’s residence, demonstrators marched through Damak Bazaar, where some youth were injured. Similar protests were also reported in Birtamod, with several participants receiving treatment at B & C Hospital.
