Authorities enforce prohibitory orders in Pokhara after Gen-Z protest



POKHARA: The District Administration Office, Kaski, has declared parts of Pokhara a prohibited zone after Gen-Z protests in the city turned unruly.

According to Chief District Officer Rudradevi Sharma, the restricted order took effect from 2 p.m. on Monday and will remain in place until further notice. The area under restriction covers Wychowk to the east, Milan Chowk to the northeast, Fiste Gate (Baidaam) to the west, the Land Revenue Office to the north, and extends south to Rastra Bank Chowk, including the Tourism Board office area at Damside.

Authorities said the prohibitory order was necessary to maintain security and prevent further unrest.
