Provincial government provides aid to Bajura fire victims



BAJURA: The Sudurpaschim Provincial Government has announced Rs 4 million in financial assistance for fire victims in Bajura.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Control Council, chaired by Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah.

According to Chief Minister Shah, the funds will be disbursed to Budhiganga Municipality, with the possibility of additional support once a full assessment of the damages is completed.

The council has also decided to distribute 15 tents, 34 blankets, and 34 tarpaulins to affected families.

The fire, caused by a gas cylinder explosion at the Navadurga Hotel in Bamka Bazaar, Budhiganga Municipality-6, destroyed 31 houses and shops, resulting in losses estimated at Rs 150 million, according to security agencies.
