Light rain expected in Koshi and Madhesh provinces



KATHMANDU: Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in a few places of Koshi Province and at one or two locations in Madhesh Province, as well as in parts of the hilly region today.

Light rain and snowfall are also expected at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, monsoon winds are currently influencing the weather in Koshi Province, leading to partly to generally cloudy skies in the region and its surrounding hilly areas.

The rest of the country will see mainly fair to partly cloudy conditions due to the impact of westerly and local winds in the central and western regions.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in Koshi and the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will experience mainly fair skies.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur in a few places of Koshi and at one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall at a few places in the high hills and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
