51 kg of marijuana seized from ambulance in Sarlahi



SARLAHI: Police have seized 51 kg of marijuana from an ambulance in Ghurkauli, Hariban Municipality-5, this morning.

According to the District Police Office, the ambulance (J1Cha 1558), belonging to the Nepal Red Cross Society Ramnagar Bahu Arwa, was intercepted by a team from the Area Police Office in Hariban following a confidential tip-off.

The driver, 37-year-old Surendra Raya Yadav of Saruatha, Yamunamai Rural Municipality-4, Rautahat, has been arrested. In a related operation, police also seized 52 kg of marijuana and arrested 25-year-old Ganga Bahadur Waiba of Narayankhola, Lalbandi Municipality-11, in Hirapur, Lalbandi Municipality-11.
