UML statute convention unanimously passes reports of Oli, Pokharel, and Paudel



LALITPUR: The second national statute convention of the CPN-UML has unanimously endorsed three major reports presented by party leaders, including Chair KP Sharma Oli’s political document.

The convention, which began Saturday under the slogan “Building a decisive national force, our commitment; Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali our destination”, held day-long discussions in 10 groups before passing the reports on Sunday afternoon.

The reports included Oli’s political document, Vice Chair Bishnu Paudel’s statute amendment proposal, and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel’s organizational report. In addition, reports from the central discipline commission (Keshav Badal), central accounts commission (Dr. Pushpa Kandel), and central election commission (Dr. Bijay Subba) were also approved.

Chair Oli had directed delegates to debate differing opinions within their respective groups, which represented the seven provinces, Kathmandu Valley, mass organizations, diaspora and coordination committees, and central bodies.
