KATHMANDU: The National Youth Festival is set to take place on July 12 with the objective of promoting leadership development, a positive mindset, and entrepreneurship among young students.

The festival is being jointly organized by the Model Institute of Technology (MIT), Sunaulo Nepal, Youth for Change, YED Talks, and In Depth Story (IDS) at Nepal Pragya Pratishthan, according to Sunaulo Nepal Online President Mohraj Poudel.

Keynote speakers at the event will include social worker Anuradha Koirala, senior cardiologist Dr. Bhagawan Koirala, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal, CEO of Nabil Bank Manoj Gyawali, former President of the Stock Brokers Association of Nepal Bharat Ranabhat, actress Suraksha Pant, spiritual teacher Rupeshwor Gaur Das, and entrepreneur Shobhanbir Malakar.

The speakers will share insights from their personal and professional journeys, focusing on how young people can create opportunities within Nepal by drawing from real-life experiences.

The event will also feature musical performances by singer Sabin Rai and Faro and The Elements Band, organizers confirmed.

Surendra Subedi, President of the Model Institute of Technology, stated that the festival aims to deliver a positive message to youth.

Himal Bista, President of Youth for Change, emphasized that the goal is to inspire young people to harness their knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve success in Nepal and become role models for future generations.

The program is designed to instill hope and showcase the opportunities available within the country. Following the success and strong youth response to last year’s inaugural edition, the festival is being held again this year.

It is specifically targeted at students who have recently completed their Class 12 exams and are preparing for higher education. The event is completely free, and interested students can register online.
