Gold price continues to rise, up by Rs 1,700 per tola today



KATHMANDU: The price of gold has increased today, following a sharp rise of Rs 5,300 per tola on Tuesday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, gold is now being traded at Rs 191,600 per tola—an increase of Rs 1,700 from yesterday’s rate of Rs 189,900 per tola.

Gold prices had already shown an upward trend earlier this week, rising on both Sunday and Monday.

The highest recorded price so far was on Baisakh 9, when it hit Rs 197,900 per tola. Since then, the price had dropped by Rs 14,400 over nine days before this recent rebound.

Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged. The federation has reported that silver is steady at Rs 1,965 per tola.

In the international market, gold is currently trading at USD 3,393 per ounce.
