PMC provides subsidized paddy seeds to farmers



POKHARA: The Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC) has provided subsidized paddy seeds to local farmers.

Manohar Kadariya, Head of the Metropolitan City’s Agriculture Division, stated that 1,500 kg of paddy seeds have been distributed to farmers at a 50 percent subsidy.

He added that various incentive programs have been launched to encourage farmers to take up rice cultivation. As part of these initiatives, an incentive of Rs 500 per ropani will be provided this year as well.

Farmers in wards 14, 15, 26, and 27 of the metropolitan city have been cultivating ‘chaitedhan’ (spring paddy).
