International Transport Conference to be held on April 11-13



KATHMANDU: The Third International Transport Conference-2025 will be held from April 11-13, with the theme “Towards Safe, Sustainable, Efficient, and Resilient Mobility.”

Organized by the Society of Transport Engineers Nepal, the conference aims to gather feedback to help formulate policies for sustainable and safe transportation.

Chairman of the Society, Dr. Hareram Shrestha, stated that the event will focus on improving the public transport system to make it more accessible, effective, and environmentally friendly.

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management, alongside the Ministry of Urban Development, are co-organizing the event. It will bring together scholars, professionals, and experts from various fields to discuss the latest research, innovations, and developments.

The conference will explore ways to create safer, more resilient transport and mobility systems through collective efforts. Participants will engage in discussions aimed at reforming the transport sector and outlining future strategies.

Dr. Shrestha further explained that the conference will cover the role of Artificial Intelligence in promoting smart transport systems, the expansion of smart transport services, the development of resilient infrastructure, and creating transport systems capable of withstanding climate change and other disasters.

Organizers believe the conference will play a critical role in shaping the future of a safe, sustainable, and resilient transport system.
