Govt will pay for revenge against Lamichhane: RSP

KATHMANDU: Acting Chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), DP Aryal, has called for the immediate lifting of the suspension of its party Chair Rabi Lamichhane from his position as Member of Parliament (MP).

In a speech delivered at the House of Representatives on Friday, Aryal voiced concerns that the parliament appears to be backing the government’s stance.

Aryal accused both the government and parliament of seeking revenge against Lamichhane.

He stated, “The government seems to believe it can take revenge, and it appears that the sovereign parliament has lent its support to this attitude. However, the government will have to face the consequences for targeting the president of the fourth-largest party in such a vindictive manner.”

He further added, “It is clear to everyone that the government resorts to filing false cases to trap individuals. Parliament should not align itself with this approach.”
