Home of former President Bhandari inspected by Home Minister Aryal

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal on Thursday visited the damaged residence of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari in Chapali, Kathmandu, to assess the extent of the destruction.

The house was damaged during the Gen-Z movement on September 8 and 9, when fires broke out in several locations across the capital.

Earlier, Aryal had inspected the residence of the current President Ram Chandra Paudel in Bohoratar, Kathmandu. On Tuesday, he also visited the home of former President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav in Bagdol, Lalitpur, to review its condition and held a meeting with Dr. Yadav.

The visits come as part of government efforts to evaluate and address damages sustained by prominent leaders’ residences during recent political unrest.
