UML statute convention: second-day session begins



LALITPUR: The second day of the CPN-UML statute convention began on Saturday at Sunrise Hall, Godawari.

The session opened with Election Commission Coordinator Dr. Bijay Subba presenting his report. Reports from the Election Commission, Accounts Commission, and Discipline Commission are also being tabled. Following this, delegates will discuss the reports in 10 groups.

The conclusions from each group will be presented on Sunday. Report presenters will clarify the feedback before Party Chair KP Sharma Oli delivers his closing address.

Delegates from Koshi, Sudurpaschim, Madhes, Karnali, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces will hold separate group discussions. Additional groups include representatives from Kathmandu Valley Special Province, affiliated organizations, coordination committees, and diaspora members. Another group has been formed with central body representatives and structures.

On Friday, Oli’s political report, Vice-Chair Bishnu Paudel’s statute amendment proposal, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel’s organizational report, and the report by Advisory Council Coordinator Amrit Bohora were presented.
