Nepal to face Bangladesh in friendly football match today

KATHMANDU: Nepal and Bangladesh will face each other today in the first of two international friendly football matches at Dasharath Stadium. The match will kick off at 5:30 PM.

Both teams aim for a win, with the game being played during the FIFA international window.

So far, Nepal and Bangladesh have played 24 international matches, with Nepal winning 13, Bangladesh securing 8 victories, and 3 ending in draws.

Nepal is using the friendlies as preparation for the remaining matches of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers.

The second match between the two sides will take place on Tuesday, September 9. If the aggregate results are tied, the winner will be decided through a penalty shootout, according to ANFA.
