Four killed in suspected mass murder in Bhojpur



BHOJPUR: Four members of the same family have been murdered in Dhodlekhani, Ram Prasad Rai Rural Municipality-2, Bhojpur.

Rajendra Rai, 30, of Helaunchha, Bhojpur Municipality-2, allegedly killed four members of his in-laws’ family, according to the District Police Office, Bhojpur.

The victims were his 15-year-old wife Manisha Giri, 68-year-old father-in-law Bel Bahadur Giri, 45-year-old mother-in-law Manju Giri, and 9-year-old brother-in-law Sapan Giri. They were all staying at their maternal home, police said.

According to the police, there had been a dispute between Rajendra and the family regarding Manisha. He had gone to his in-laws’ house to take her back. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the incident, and an investigation is currently underway.
